Of the second design, I think the one with the purple background has the most successful color combination but would be better if the purple was the lighter color on the letters themselves. The grayish color that is now on the letters could be the background. Have you thought about making just the "I" in one of these designs a contrasting color. I like the top two right sides much better. The second design also looks great, but the color placement is much the same in both--just a change of background color.
